Available for Greece sailing trips – mostly within the Dodecanese, but sometimes as far as Santorini also.
Omiros is a classic 51′ Jeanneau.
Why “classic”? Jeanneau yachts are well-known and well-regarded in the charter industry; but these days, they are built with lightweight, synthetic materials – easy to maintain, but not exactly a lot of character. So you won’t be getting a “plastic-fantastic” boat – Omiros and her twin sister Osiris are vintage brands. They still have the real-deal teak decks, beautifully finished REAL wood interior – stylish ladies of the era when yachts had personality and charm.
Her Dutch owner lavishes lots of TLC on his two charges, and they both have a cosy, comfy ambiance which makes you feel at home instantly.
Cabin accommodation is arranged in the usual style for this size charter yacht. The aft cabins are two good-sized doubles; however – not so usual! – they can actually be split into separate twin beds for singles.
Be aware that it’s still not a “cruise ship cabin” – the space is sailboat-sized ! But it’s really unusual to find a sailing yacht in this size range which has any facility at all for creating separate space in their aft doubles, so it’s still a big plus for singles groups.
The two f’ard cabins are set up usually as bunks, but they can be re-configured easily into a double. There are 3 heads on the boat (toilet & shower); and there’s the much-loved outside deck shower on the stern too.
Crew accommodation is separate, in the forepeak of the yacht.
